ING Reliastar Term Life Insurance Product Portfolio
I have in the past written about ING Reliastar Life Insurance products and touted how great of a job they have done in the past few years in regards to term life insurance. In this post I want to inform you more on the Term product line they have to offer.
ING currently offers the following level term plans:
- ING Reliastar TermSmart 10 - Guaranteed for 10 years
- ING Reliastar TermSmart 15 - Guaranteed for 15 years
- ING Reliastar TermSmart 20 - Guaranteed for 20 years
- ING Reliastar TermSmart 30 - Guaranteed for 30 years
Riders Offered: Please verify these at the time of application with your Life Insurance Broker-
- Waiver of Premium
- ADB rider or Accelerated Death Benefit - may not be available in all states
- Child rider
These products are what they call age nearest birthday, which means they calculate you age by determining if you closer to you next birthday or last. These term products are convertible to permanent life insurance plans offered by ING. The convertible plans can change so ask your agent to verify what products are available.
ING Currently offers the following Return of Premium Life plans:
- ING Reliastar ROP15 - Guaranteed 15 years - Basic and Enhanced options
- ING Reliastar ROP20 - Guaranteed 20 years - Basic and Enhanced options
- ING Reliastar ROP30 - Guaranteed 30 years - Basic and Enhanced options
The enhanced option rop option offers a more accelerated return of premium schedule than the basic rop. Ask your agent or broker to view an illustration that will show you exactly what the premium and return of premium differences are so you can make an informed decision.
***please not due to the current financial and economic crisis there are some carriers that are pulling their return of premium products. ING is currently offering them but please verify with a licensed broker or agent.
Right now is still a great time to be looking at buying term life insurance, I have heard some of the carriers are going to be raising their term rates here shortly. Don’t put off buying this all important insurance and planning tool.
